Living Responsibly…It’s Only Natural!
Welcome! This week our topic of choice is "Medicine". I’m sure that most people will think pharmaceutical drugs when I say Medicine, however, the author being more natural and metaphysical in her stance, only considers synthetic drugs as a last, although still viable, consideration. When we think of medicine we should consider all avenues of healing. Medicine can be as simple as water or sunlight. It may be a homeopathic remedy or an herb. Medicine might be NOT doing something. It can be proper breathing. It can be a thought or spiritual process. It can be the kiss of a loved one or even a friendly pet. Medicine could be hiking or singing or a fabulous movie. So let us discuss this so that we may open our avenues of healing to a much wider choice of venues.
Along with being a Natural Health Consultant, I work as a Medical Intuitive, someone who can read a person or animal’s energy field and interpret what imbalances are occurring and what remedies are required by the body to bring it into balance. Over the 20+ years of doing this, I have seen everything from sunlight to water from a waterfall to moving to a different place as the suggested course to follow to encourage and bring balance to the body. I fully believe that when the proper raw materials are given, the body can find the balance needed to regain health. Included in this approach is mental health because the mind is affected by chemistry and physical aspects as well.
So what do we see as some of our medicines? Well, let’s begin with some of the finer aspects, the less invasive and higher frequency medicines. How about our thoughts being remedies? We’ve discussed this before. Our thoughts can bring on disease, yet they can also bring about health and balance. Why is this? It is because thoughts are energies that become manifest in our bodies and our lives. Always, always, always be aware of our thoughts. They will become us. Secondly, let’s consider our words. Words are thoughts manifest. We need to be conscious of what we say because every word we utter is an indication to the universe of the choice of direction we choose to move towards. Working with the public, one will hear people repeatedly saying, "I am sick and tired of…" or "This is killing me." and worse. Do we hear what is being said? Realize that when we say these things we are giving a direct command to the universe to give us just this. So good thought and conscious speaking are very good medicines. To continue on this trail of thinking, let us consider spiritual medicines? We hear of Coyote Medicine, Bear Medicine, Buffalo Medicine, etc. We hear of healing through prayer and blessings of the Saints and Sages and being touched by God. These are incredibly powerful medicines. We are affected deeply by spiritual medicines as they affect our spirit and our spirit is what will determine our healing because our spirit determines our chemistry. Years ago I came up with the formula or process that follows: Spirit defines our chemistry. Chemistry modulates our thinking. Our thinking defines our morality. And our morality defines our spirit. So, as has been stated for eons…you get what you put out into the universe. If we think negatively, we will receive the same. When we are positive, we encourage positive energies to be present in our lives and beings. And positive energies are healing energies.
Let us consider our choice of company as a medicine. Whomever we "hang with" is certainly going to be an indicator of where we will find ourselves and our health in the future. Are our friends healthy for us? This is certainly one of the times NOT doing something can be a remedy. It can be an incredibly hard process to separate oneself from someone we feel "attached" to but once again, what are we attaching ourselves to? And why are we attaching ourselves to anything, anyway?
And while we are considering NON-ACTION as a medicine, let’s list a few non-actions to consider; smoking cigarettes, too much food and alcohol, over exertion, use of synthetics in our diets, crap television, overstressing ourselves…the list is huge. So for good health, a fabulous remedy or medicine would be to stop doing those things that deplete our energy reserves. Our body will use that conserved energy to remain in balance and therefore healthy.
A huge medicine in my book is sunlight. Sunlight encourages cell communication without which our bodies defer to the other impacts we create on it. Supercharged Vitamin D comes from sunlight exposure. Supercharged Vitamin D can help the body avoid many diseases. Our very clue that this is an extremely important remedy is that one cannot live without sunlight. The Earth and all of her inhabitants would perish without it. And speaking of, water is another highly important medicine. And on that note…food, along with water and sunlight are some of our best medicines. What does this mean? It means we must give strict attention to having clean air that sunlight can penetrate, pure water to drink and food grown without synthetics and food that is natural, not having been genetically modified. A healthy planet is our best medicine because we cannot be healthy if we live in a cesspool. The facts just are.
So, in respect to newsprint space we will continue this thought process another time. Just remember, all that we do can either be a medicine or a path to illness. Remember also, moderation in all that we do will further our health always. And in relation to quantum living, we are what we think, eat and do, spontaneously. So live well, be well.
Question of the week: Is there a "best" way to create health?
Answer: I am asked this almost daily. My answer is always the same. "Best" for whom? Your best is not her best which is not his best. Forget about joining the herd. Health is individual.
